Almara is a demi-god who strives for only the greater good. He does not concern himself with small quarrels between gods or other higher powers. He teaches that arrogance is the easiest way to fall into evil and he does not see his followers as followers, but as companions and equals. Almara wants all of those who wish to serve him to follow these ideals.

Almara led the armies of Celestial that came to the aid of Hala during a period where the Demon Zharasthruon attempted to enslave and destroy any that stood before him. A war that saw many of Hala's native residents stand alongside the Celestial warriors and archons in defense of their home. Once the 7 gates used by Zharasthruon had been closed, a final battle ensued, where Almara himself struck the final blow against the demon.

May years later, a daughter was born to an elf, impregnated by the Bitch Queen, Llolth, but with the intervention of many, the child was not born into her true mother's natural evil and so struggled within herself to discover what was meant by right and wrong. The child was immensely powerful and battled the the demon Zharasthruon, and Almara. Almara, knowing the destruction that would plague Hala, sacrificed himself in that battle to destroy the demon once and for all.

Decades later and to the delight and relief of his faithful on Hala, as well as the entirety of the Celestial order, Almara returned to the plane, explaining that even after his sacrifice, the prayers of all those faithful to him were enough to bring him back once more and that with his guidance, a new threat would have to be fought.
