Acronym for Non Player Character. A NPC is a character controlled by the AI or a DM. The opposite of NPC is PC, which stands for Player Character, a character controlled by a player. All game mechanical information should be considered OOC as is only posted for the amusement of others. Physical Descriptions, histories, etc is all information that has been shared IG and can therefor be considered IG with some research.
