The Aesir are the younger branch of the dominant pantheon of Ysgard. When the conflict between then and the Vanir came to warfare even the warriors of the Aesir grew weary of the fighting and were pleased to come to terms. Several of the Aesir went to live among the Vanir and vice versa to cement the peace, which had left the Aesir ascendant.
